Call for Photos for the 2011 Calendar

Is your Golden a calendar dog?  We need all sorts of seasonal and holiday pictures for next year’s calendar, so we’re asking you to start taking and send your pictures now.

Listed below are some basic criteria for calendar photos:

  • Only GRRCC rescue dogs allowed in photo
  • No black/white photos
  • No people in the photo
  • We LOVE seasonal and holiday photos (snow, scarves, leaves, swimming, etc)
  • Only horizontal pictures can be used for the 12 large monthly photos
  • Minimum resolution is 300dpi. We need these pictures to be very large and high resolution.
  • No more than 5 photos of each dog.

Don’t meet the above criteria?   You can still submit your photo for the sponsor page.   For a $20 donation, it will be included on the sponsor page of the calendar.   Any breed or type of animal is acceptable for sponsor page.  No more than two animals photo.

Don’t be camera shy!  Send us those photos!   Even if the photo doesn’t make the calendar, it can make our new website, so send us your smiling Golden now!

Please send all photos to Kate Cameron at: katecameron@bellsouth.net.    We ask that you save the photo with a filename including the dog’s name and their human’s last name. If you are sending a sponsor photo, please state that in your message to Kate.

Thanks so much for your help!

Using e-Bay to help GRRCC
GRRCC – e-Bay MissionFish Page

If it sounds a bit far fetched to use the most popular Internet auction site to benefit Golden Retriever Rescue Club of Charlotte, you’ll want to read on a bit further to understand the true potential. Consider this for starters: eBay has raised $300,000 for non-profits so far.

eBay, the online auction company, now allows individual and corporate customers to assign all or part of their online proceeds to Golden Retriever Rescue Club of Charlotte. It’s quite simple. If you are a regular buyer or a seller on eBay and already have an eBay user name and password, you’ll want to take just a minute to register with MissionFish, eBay’s charity solution provider at http://www.missionfish.org

If you’ve never shopped or sold items on eBay, it takes less than a minute to register and set up your account using the same MissionFish link above.

Once registered with MissionFish, you can search for items and bid or list items to sell – either way benefits Golden Retriever Rescue Club of Charlotte.   You can choose anywhere from 10% to 100% of the proceeds from each item auctioned or sold.
